Cobras thanks for a great season
Dear Player / Volunteer / Member / Supporter,
On behalf of the Leicester Cobras Wheelchair Basketball Club I would like to thank all the club’s committed players, coaches, table officials, referees, catering volunteers, community drivers, events organisers, fund raisers, executive committee, members, volunteers and supporters. We value everyone that volunteers to make the Cobras a successful and enjoyable club to be a member of.
I personally think we have had a good season, running two teams and being involved with the Vikings (championship winning) juniors. It has been a season where we have been able to learn and develop. We now need to build on this for next season.
Special thanks go to all those of you that have regularly attended training, matches, fund raising events, development sessions, meetings, social events and have supported the club throughout this last season. The Club appreciates all of your hard work.
Thank you also, for the help and dedication of the executive committee; who work very hard “behind the scenes” to develop and promote the Cobras; and wheelchair basketball in general.
We are extremely grateful to our sponsors and for any funding we have received this year, without which the club could not function.
The Cobras AGM and new wheelchair basketball season is fast approaching. If you have any spare time to offer or would like to take on a role for the new season please e-mail or speak to one of the committee. Alternatively if you have any ideas or thoughts on the previous or coming seasons please note them down on the players’ questionnaire that was sent out last week to everyone that attends training. It is important that you please return your completed players’ questionnaires by 1st June 2010. Everyone’s comments and suggestions are needed to help with the running and organisation of your club.
I personally would like to thank everyone who has taken an active role within the club. I hope that you have had an enjoyable season. I look forward to receiving your completed players’ questionnaires and I hope to see as many of you at the AGM (which will be on Monday 5th July at 7 pm), training sessions, matches, meetings and events. Remember; this is YOUR CLUB, it takes everyone to make it successful.
All the best,
Ian
